YTPC Secret Santa (Sleigh) Rides Again

The weather outside may not be frightful yet, but the holiday season is quickly approaching. One of the best parts of this time of year is that it’s a season of giving to others. One of the ways you can spread some holiday spirit to your fellow piper is by participating in Picking and Piping’s annual YTPC Secret Santa.

Watch a video explaining YTPC Secret Santa on Picking and Piping’s YT channel. In a “chestnut roasted on an open fire” shell, Secret Santas will have until December 24 to mail pipe-related or holiday gifts (tobacco, pipe accessories, homemade item, etc.) to the YTPC’er they are matched with. Gift values should be no more than $30 USD (or the equivalent in CAD and Euro).

If you’re interested in joining this holiday gift exchange, email Matthew (pickingandpiping@gmail.com) with your name, email, mailing address, and YT channel name, by Tuesday, December 6. That week, you’ll be emailed the contact information for whom you’ll be sending gift(s) to. For ease of shipping, Secret Santas will be from the same country.

Those of you that make VRs, please consider creating a video promoting YTPC Secret Santa, and once again after you’ve received your gift(s). All are welcome to participate, regardless if you’re a presenter or not.

Free Pipe Project

Of course, that’s not the only way to share the joy of smoking a pipe with others. Have you ever heard of the Free Pipe Project? For years, the Pipery (of PocketJar fame) has been collecting free pipes and tobacco and sending them to our deployed service men and women serving overseas. They collect new and estate pipes, tobacco, and accessories. If you are interested in donating any of these items, email them at freepipeproject@gmail.com or learn more about the Free Pipe Project at https://www.thepipery.com/free-pipe-project.

Have a blessed holiday season and merry piping!
